Create your keys, register a .sol name and share it.

Your two keys

Crepus gives you a spending key and a viewing key. Both are derived on your device from one signature by your main wallet, so nothing has to be backed up separately: the same wallet always rebuilds the same keys.

  • Spending key: unlocks every one-time address paid to you. Never leaves your device.
  • Viewing key: finds your payments but cannot spend them. You can share it with an accountant or a scanning service.

Register a meta-address

Registering writes your two public keys to a program-derived account in crepus_registry, keyed by your wallet. Payers look it up there. If you hold a .sol name (Solana Name Service), the registry links it, so payers can type the name instead of an address.

Registering needs one transaction. A relayer can be the fee payer, so a brand-new wallet with zero SOL can still register.

Name

bob.sol works in any wallet or app that supports Crepus.

crepus.cash/pay/bob.sol opens a payment page for people who have never heard of Crepus. The QR code encodes the same link and, from the Twilight phase, a Solana Pay request.

Tips

  • Share the name, never a one-time address: those are for a single payment.
  • Read Scan and sweep before moving funds, so you do not link your addresses yourself.
