Scan and sweep

Find your payments and move them without linking them.

Scanning

The app reads every announcement emitted by crepus_announcer and checks it with your viewing key. The one-byte view tag rejects almost all of them after a single hash; a tag match is confirmed by recomputing the address. Scanning runs on your device, and resumes from where it stopped.

Sharing your viewing key with a scanning service gives you background alerts, but that service can then see every payment to you. It still cannot spend.

Sweeping

A one-time address is a normal Solana account whose key only you can derive. Sweeping moves its balance to a wallet you choose. Because the Solana fee payer does not have to own the account, the Crepus relayer can pay the fee, so the address does not need any SOL of its own.

Keep payments unlinked

  • Sweep to a fresh wallet, not to the wallet you registered with.
  • Do not merge many addresses in one transaction if you want them to stay unrelated; anything spent together is linked together.
  • Mind the timing. Sweeping right after each payment, always to the same place, is a pattern.
  • Use the relayer rather than funding addresses from your main wallet; a funding transfer is a link.
