Send to a .sol name
Pay someone's Crepus name in SOL or any SPL token.
Paying a Crepus name feels like any other payment. The difference happens in your browser: it computes a fresh address for the recipient before the transaction is built.
Step by step
- 1
Enter the name
Typebob.solor open their pay link. The app reads Bob's meta-address from the registry. - 2
Choose token and amount
SOL or any SPL or Token-2022 token in your wallet. - 3
Your browser derives the address
A random one-time key produces the address only Bob can open. The key is used once and thrown away. - 4
Approve in your wallet
One transaction callscrepus_pay, which pays the address and emits the announcement Bob's scanner looks for.
Costs
| Item | Amount | Paid by |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol fee | 0.10% of the payment, fixed in the program | Sender |
| Solana fee | About 0.000005 SOL | Sender |
| Token account rent (SPL only) | About 0.002 SOL, returned when the account is closed | Sender |
Sending tokens? You can attach a little SOL for the recipient's fees;
crepus_pay forwards it untouched. It is optional, since a relayer can pay the recipient's fees too. What the chain records
Your address, the one-time address, the amount and the announcement. Bob's wallet does not appear. See the Security model for the full picture.
